The Subsea Fabrication Superintendent oversees EPC and subcontractors to ensure safe, high-quality, and timely fabrication of subsea structures, guiding contractors and resolving issues to meet project objectives.
 

Key Responsibilities:

• Ensure strict adherence to safety protocols and regulations.
• Manage fabrication and delivery of risers, spools, pipe coating, subsea sleepers, and bridges to meet safety, quality, and schedule objectives.
• Provide technical expertise to support execution schedules, scope, constructability, and fabrication strategies.
• Supervise contractor and subcontractor activities, ensuring compliance with contracts, standards, and project documentation.
• Monitor fabrication progress with site inspectors for welding, NDE, and coating.
• Review constructability, engineering deliverables, and technical compliance post-metrology and design checks.
• Evaluate technical deviations, resolve engineering queries, and align with standards and specifications.
• Oversee load-out and sea fastening, ensuring risers and spools are properly handled.
• Participate in risk assessments, lessons learned, kick-off, pre-job, safety, and progress meetings.
• Ensure fabrication quality, traceability, and timely corrective actions where needed.
• Confirm proper preparation and handover of fabrication dossiers, verifying accurate contractor progress reporting.
• Provide daily and weekly progress reports.

Qualifications:

• 8+ years’ experience in large Oil & Gas construction and fabrication projects.
• Strong knowledge of subsea fabrication, risers/spools, welding, NDT, MC, and commissioning.
• Skilled in design standards, codes, HSE practices, and risk assessments (HAZOP/HAZID).
• Experienced in offshore/onshore facilities, LNG, sour gas, and yard operations.

Skills and Competencies

• Proficient in project planning, execution, reporting, and multidisciplinary coordination.
• Excellent communication, teamwork, and problem-solving in multicultural environments.
