Job Description
The Lead Planner ensures schedule integrity by analyzing EPC schedules, managing risks, implementing planning procedures, and coordinating with contractors to assess and mitigate impacts on L3 and L4 schedules.
 
Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead project planning and scheduling, including development, analysis, reporting, and impact assessments

  • Establish and implement planning procedures and workflows to support decision-making

  • Coordinate with PMT functions for EPC schedule validation and improvement

  • Ensure effective contractor scheduling and Advanced Work Packaging execution

  • Prepare and update project controls deliverables and scheduling procedures

  • Analyze and report trends, delays, and recovery plans, including resource needs

  • Assess and integrate schedule impacts from project changes

  • Evaluate contractor performance and resolve discrepancies with PMT managers


Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or Business Administration

  • 8+ years’ project experience in oil & gas with focus on planning/scheduling, 3+ years in supervision

  • Experience with EPC contractors, subcontractors, and vendors in oil & gas industry

  • Takes initiative to deliver timely and cost-effective solutions

  • Understands team context and wider organizational relationships

  • Works independently within procedures, plans, and budgets; contributes to their development

  • Manages own schedule and organizes team efforts for efficiency

  • Excellent written and spoken English

  • Strong negotiation, influencing, analytical, and problem-solving skills

  • Proficient in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Database/Power BI, and advanced Primavera or other scheduling software

  • Effective team player with strong collaboration skills
