Job Description
The Commissioning Lead (Electrical) oversees contractors and vendors to ensure compliance with project requirements and quality standards. Responsibilities include coordinating deliverables, reviewing commissioning documentation, evaluating technical issues, and verifying compliance during FATs and SATs while collaborating with engineering and operations teams.
 
Key Responsibilities:
  • Review critical EPC contractor documents and reports; attend workshops and review meetings as needed.

  • Analyse technical proposals, deviations, and new technologies for compliance with project requirements.

  • Apply and share lessons learned across EPCs.

  • Support qualification of new suppliers not on the approved vendor list.

  • Assess contractor manpower and recommend adjustments; provide backfill support if required.

  • Help engineering team meet schedule milestones and develop recovery plans for delays.

  • Witness contractor work, sign off test sheets, and verify progress reports for accuracy.

  • Participate in quality audits, report findings, and propose corrective actions.


Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s in Engineering or Applied Sciences.

  • 8+ years in Oil & Gas commissioning, 1+ year supervisory experience.

  • Strong knowledge of design standards, codes, safety, and offshore facilities.

  • Expertise in commissioning, completions, and Pre-Startup Safety Reviews.

  • Skilled in electrical systems: LV/MV/HV switchgears, power systems, relays, GTC, EDG, GTG.

  • Proficient in project completions, check sheets, and commissioning documentation.

  • Experienced with P&IDs, datasheets, GA drawings, and technical procedures.

  • Knowledge in project execution, operations, and contract compliance.

  • Familiar with LNG vendors and start-up support for large-scale operations.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and advanced computer literacy.

  • Knowledge of global vendors and contractors.

  • Effective communication and influencing skills.

  • Willingness to travel as required.
